The Decriminalization of Marijuana

This is a blog about the decriminalization/legalization of marijuana in Canada in terms of government control over the public. This topic has been debated for almost one hundred years and has seen no reform in laws regarding this drug despite a large and ongoing disagreement from the population. The power of the government is proven by their censorship and ignorance of valid information that disproves many theories they have portrayed to the public, including the notion that it serves as a “gateway drug” to much harder drugs. I will explore the topic anthropologically and holistically through a series of posts over the next couple of weeks providing resources for further reading/watching.
